Mother’s Day Gift Guide
Mother’s Day is coming up in Australia soon, on Sunday the 10th of May. A lot of us probably won’t get to see our Mums in person this year, because of the trash fire that is ‘rona. However, that doesn’t mean we can forget about our amazing Mums.
If you’re looking for some gift inspiration, these are some beautiful gifts from some amazing Australian businesses. Plus, you can everything below delivered straight to yo’ mama. Don’t forget though, in this time of isolation and social distancing, a phone call or Face Time can mean a lot.
A Statement Piece of Art
I’ve been lusting after Emma Thomas’ art for a while now. She has really beautiful prints, as well as original artworks, earrings, clutches, and scarves. It’s a smorgasboard of delight.
These ones from Suga Mumma Bakes are not just great for Mother’s Day, but also many occasions. Tash is a Melbourne based baker, who ships nationally.
A Beautiful Scarf
Jess Crawford Art has a beautiful selection of unique scarves. Jess creates art that is full of vibrant colour and life. She also has paintings, totes, pouches, and leggings.
Resin Flower Earrings
I’ve got some of Bella Sze’s earrings from the Southbank Collective Market and they’re lovely. Her resin flower earrings are like a pretty piece of nature, frozen in time.
It’s coming into winter here, so a heat pillow from Tonic is the perfect gift. They smell great and are the perfect size to take away lady cramps, headaches, shoulder pain, or just generally make you cosy. Their sleep masks are also great.
A Scrumptious Candle
Fill Mum’s world with delicious, calming, or invigorating smells with a scented candle. The ones from Ecoya are my personal favourite. They have just the right amount of scent and don’t smell waxy because they’re made with soy.
Unique Wine Glasses
Choose your own colour combos with these incredible wine glasses from Little Red Foxes. They also have a cheeky collection of adult’s only drinkware for any Mums with a potty mouth or dirty mind.
Who doesn’t love cheese? There’s no better way to showcase some delicious cheeses, than on a stunning resin and wood cheeseboard from C+Co The Artisan Collective.
Cheese, Wine, and Beer
Witches Falls Winery, at Mt Tamborine, is a one-stop-shop for all things yum. They have their own wine and cheese range, cider, and you can also pick up Sea Legs Beer from them as well.
A Good Book
I recently read Whiskey in a Teacup from Reese Witherspoon and it was a delightful read. It was packed full of anecdotes, recipes, and beautiful imagery.
